Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum
Available on PBS Kids
Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum is an animated adventure-comedy for kids 4-7 inspired by Brad Meltzer and Chris Eliopoulos’ best-selling kids book series, Ordinary People Change the World. It follows the adventures of Xavier, Yadina and Brad as they tackle everyday problems by doing something extraordinary: traveling back in time to learn from real-life inspirational figures.
Hidden beneath their family-run museum lies The Secret Museum, a wonderous space filled with incredible artifacts that can send our kids to meet the original owner of those artifacts when they were kids; a 6-year-old Jackie Robinson who knows that it takes courage to stand up for yourself when something isn’t right, an 8-year-old Bruce Lee who models healthy ways to manage big feelings or an 8-year-old Ruth Bader Ginsburg who knows she has the power to create change. Every adventure will help young viewers make the connection between the character traits that made each historical figure a hero and those same qualities within themselves, helping them become their own heroes of the present.
Produced at Brown Bag Films’ Toronto studio, executive producers on the series are Vince Commisso, Brad Meltzer, Christopher Eliopoulos, Fonda Snyder and Rob Weisbach. The series is directed by Cory Bobiak (Peg + Cat), with Meghan Read (Dot,Dino Dan) in the role of executive story editor. The look of the show is based on Christopher Eliopoulos’ illustrations featured in the Ordinary People Change the World series.
