Accessibility Policy

Purpose

9 Story Media Group is committed to providing an accessible and inclusive environment for everyone as required by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

Scope

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, volunteers, and anyone working with or serving the public on behalf of 9 Story Media Group.

Accessibility Standards

Customer Service

  • We will communicate with people with disabilities in ways that consider their needs.
  • Assistive devices, service animals, and support people are welcome in our facilities.
  • If accessible services or areas are temporarily disrupted, we will let people know and provide alternative arrangements where we can.

Information & Communication

  • We will provide accessible formats and communication support upon request, in a timely manner and at no additional cost.
  • Our website and web content will comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA standards.

Employment

  • We will ensure accessibility throughout the recruitment and hiring process by providing accommodation upon request.
  • Employees with disabilities will receive individualized workplace accommodation as needed.
  • We will create individualized emergency response plans for employees who require them.

Training

  • We will provide AODA and Ontario Human Rights Code training to all employees, volunteers, and contractors.
  • Training will be updated as needed to reflect changes in policies and legislation.

Multi-Year Accessibility Plan

  • We will develop, implement, and maintain a multi-year accessibility plan outlining our strategy for improving accessibility.
  • The plan will be reviewed and updated at least every five years.
