Swinging into adventure

Ridley Jones follows six-year-old Ridley who, alongside her mother and grandmother, is a protector of the museum she calls home. Keeping the exhibits safe takes a real hero, especially when the lights go out and the exhibits — from Egyptian mummies to stampeding elephants — come to life!

Throughout her many adventures, Ridley finds that being a good protector, and leader, is about finding common ground and respecting others, no matter what our differences might be.

The series was created and executive produced by Chris Nee (Doc McStuffins, Ada Twist, Scientist), with executive producers Cathal Gaffney, and Darragh O’Connell, and music by Christopher Dimond and Michael Kooman.

The voice cast features Iara Nemirovsky as Ridley Jones, Laraine Newman as Peaches, David Errigo Jr. as Dudley, Tyler Shamy as Dante, Ezra Menas as Fred, Ashlyn Madden as Ismat, Sutton Foster as Mama Jones, Blythe Danner as Grandma Jones, Bob Bergen as Mr. Peabody and Jane Lynch as Lonny. With composers Chris Dimond and Michael Kooman (Vampirina).

The series launched on Netflix on July 13, 2025.

Behind the Exhibits
"The thing I was excited about in the character Ridley was telling an action adventure story for a girl."—Chris Nee

Ridley is often described as a “female Indiana Jones,” and the series emphasizes bravery, leadership, and teamwork. It encourages kids to celebrate differences, find common ground, and respect others. Each episode blends action with learning, often involving historical artifacts, time travel, and moral dilemmas. The show teaches perseverance, kindness, and problem-solving in a fun and imaginative setting. The first episode reached over 3 million views on Netflix Jr’s YouTube channel within a week of its release.

"The thing I was excited about in the character Ridley was telling an action adventure story for a girl and more than anything, telling a hero’s journey for a young girl, because I don’t think we’ve seen as much of that, and I think it’s therefore not internalized in girls, this idea of the striving of the hero."—Chris Nee
