A seasoned producer with over 20 years in animation, Gillian Higgins leads Brown Bag Films’ European production division, producing global hits like Doc McStuffins, Octonauts, Peter Rabbit, and Bing.
About
Gillian has worked in the animation industry for over 20 years. She returned to Ireland from Los Angeles in 2005, bringing with her 11 years of experience from various Production Studios (Hyperion Animation, Clasky Csupo, Film Roman, Warner Brothers, Rich Animation, Creative Capers) where she worked in various roles, including having worked on several animated features such as Iron Giant, Rugrats In Paris, Tom Thumb and Thumbelina and An American tale II (Amblin, UK) along with producing multiple series for networks like Disney Channel (The Proud Family).
She has worked both within production and headed up production as her career evolved and along with working in Los Angeles has also worked in Germany and London.
She has been Head of Brown Bag Films Television Division since 2006, and is happily swamped under multiple high profile projects currently in Production. Her previous Producer credits for Brown Bag include: Nick Jr (Olivia, Peter Rabbit); CBBC (Octonauts, Bing); and Disney Junior (Doc McStuffins, Henry Hugglemonster).
