Coming Up: TAAFI - Toronto Animation Arts Festival International

We’re getting pumped for “Toronto’s Animation Event of the Year”, the first of its kind, TAAFI industry event. Happening this weekend, November 3-4th, the event features speakers, workshops, a job fair and a few parties in multiple venues around the city.

If you’re in Toronto or the surrounding area, this one is not to be missed!

Look for the Brown Bag Films booth at the “Job Fair Junior” in the Switch Animation Lounge on Saturday and Sunday. The fair is free for all job-seekers and our staff will be there to answer questions and review portfolios and demo reels.

Among the world-class speakers and panelists expected to attend this weekend are Brown Bag Films esteemed Creative Director, Cory Bobiak (Peg+Cat, Wibbly Pig, Peep) and Director Rich Weston (Franklin the Turtle, The Magic School Bus, Arthur).

Don’t miss Cory on the “Authentic Voices - Reflecting on Diversity In Kids’ TV” panel, as he talks about kids content and how it’s reflecting the reality of the world around us - Saturday, November 3rd from 12:00 - 1:00 pm at the GBC Stage.

Shortly after, catch Rich at the “Reboots, Revivals & Spinoffs” talk, an exploration of what it takes to bring back classic characters and brands to a new audience - Saturday, November 3rd from 3:30 - 4:30 pm at Corus Quay
