Ada Twist, Scientist NOW on Netflix!

Hey curious kids! Are you ready to discover the truth about absolutely everything? Because TODAY is the day!

Ada Twist, Scientist—our latest preschool series from Chris Nee, the brilliant mind behind Doc McStuffins, Vampirina, and Ridley Jones, is NOW streaming on Netflix!

Ada Twist, Scientist, based on the best-selling children's book series by author Andrea Beaty and illustrator David Roberts, follows the adventures of 8 year old Ada Twist, a pint-sized scientist with a giant-sized curiosity, who aspires to discover the truth about absolutely everything.

With the help of her two best friends, Rosie Revere and Iggy Peck, Ada unravels and solves mysteries for her friends and family. But solving the mystery is only the beginning because science isn’t just about learning how and why and what… it’s about putting that knowledge into action to make the world a better place.

Ada Twist, Scientist, is a series about the importance of asking why, developed by executive producer Chris Nee and produced in partnership with President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground Productions, with Kerri Grant helming as showrunner, co-executive producer and story editor.

“We wanted to show kids that science is all around us and in everything. This counters popular belief that science is this other, mysterious thing that is not attainable unless you are a particular type of person. Instead, we believe science is putting knowledge into action to make the world a better place. Anyone can become a scientist as it is the process of profoundly engaging with something you love. So we are making science accessible and eliminating fear to encourage people to do more.”

The series features an all-star cast, with Black Box actress Amanda Christine lending her voice to Ada, All American’s Taye Diggs, who portrays Ada’s father, Dad Twist and This Is Us actress, Susan Kelechi Watson voicing Ada’s mother, Mom Twist.

Candace Kozak (Rosie Revere), Nicholas Crovetti (Iggy Peck), and Terrence Little Gardenhigh (Arthur Twist) round out the cast as Ada’s friends and brother.

But wait, there's more! Each episode is followed by footage of real-life scientists introducing themselves and their professions, then making the scientific elements of their work easy to understand. This includes aerospace engineer Keji Sojobi – who designed the chain reactions on the James Webb Space Telescope to allow it to unfold in space – desert botanist Naomi Fruja, solar engineer Sarah Kantor and biomedical engineer James Findlay, to name but a few!
