A delightfully entertaining project for television, the web and beyond. Starring a newly-hatched chick and his friends, Peep brings great animated stories, adventure, science, and the wonders of the world to its preschool audience. The series features a chicken, a robin, and a duck along with their extended family of friends, acquaintances and (occasional) foes. It takes place outside - in and around a pond, a bush and a tin can, where our main characters live. Surrounding them is a place of great wonder and mystery, a place they call "the big wide world," a place they are forever eager to explore.
Peep and The Big Wide World premiered in December 2003 on Discovery Kids, and was produced by Brown Bag Films (formerly 9 Story’s animation studio) and WGBH Boston.
The series is also a multiple award winner, including a Daytime Emmy® for Outstanding Children’s Animated Program.
