Xavier Riddle’s Adventures in Reading Continue with These NEW Releases!

  • Posted by Rachel Sherman on August 06 2021

Happy National Book Lovers Day! Do you have anything ready to read today?

If not, did you know that our animated series Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum was based on the children’s book series 'Ordinary People Change the World' by New York Times bestselling author Brad Meltzer and illustrator Christopher Eliopoulos? But that's not all!

Since the premiere of the show on PBS KIDS in November 2019, fifteen Xavier Riddle books published by Penguin Random House have launched online and at select retailers across the US. This collection of series-inspired titles includes storybooks, leveled readers, and sticker & activity books. And just like in the show, the Xavier riddle books take your kids back in time and introduce them to inspiring historical figures and teach them the character virtues that helped our heroes succeed.

The most recent summer additions to this library include I am Harriet Tubman, I am Nikola Tesla, and I am Mary Shelley. Check them out below!

I am Harriet Tubman

Brad, Xavier, and Yadina need help deciding who the best superhero ever was. Luckily, Berby and the Secret Museum know just where to send them: back in time to meet Harriet Tubman, one of the leaders of the Underground Railroad. This episode-based 8×8 will focus on the traits that made our heroes great–the traits that kids can aspire to in order to live heroically themselves.

I am Nikola Tesla

When Xavier, Brad, and Yadina decide they want the whole world to be able to visit the museum and see all the treasures inside, Nikola Tesla encourages them to think big! This episode-based 8×8 will focus on the traits that made our heroes great–the traits that kids can aspire to in order to live heroically themselves.

I am Mary Shelley

Xavier is excited to tell a spooky campfire story. There’s just one tiny problem: He only knows how to tell silly stories! So Xavier, Yadina, and Brad head to the Secret Museum to meet Mary Shelley in this episode-based Penguin Young Reader. Perfect for emerging readers!

You can purchase these titles, and more, on Penguin, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble.

Happy reading!
