Karma’s World follows Karma Grant, an aspiring musical artist and rapper with big talent and an even bigger heart. Smart, resilient, and deeply empathetic, Karma pours her soul into songwriting, channeling her feelings into whip-smart rhymes with passion, courage and her signature brand of humor. In this series, Karma is only beginning to grasp the incredible emotional power that words and music can have. She doesn’t just want to share her music with the world…she wants to change the world with it!

The series will feature original songs which tackle issues such as self-esteem, body positivity, discrimination, creativity, expressing emotions, friendship, family, leadership, celebrating differences and more. Sound design and original music are created and supervised by Chris Bridges and James Bennett Jr., and produced by Gerald Keys.

The series is produced in partnership with 9 Story’s Oscar-nominated, Dublin-based studio Brown Bag Films and its Emmy Award-winning Creative Affairs Group as well as Karma’s World Entertainment, Chris Bridges’s production company.

It’s about a girl who wants to bring positivity to the world through her music, and each episode draws on real-life situations faced by kids today. We see Karma use her voice to help her family, friends and community, demonstrating the power young people have to create change. It is important to me that kids and families around the world will identify with Karma’s World, and my goal for the show is to help spread positivity, inspire self confidence in our children, and bring the world together through music.”

Netflix also unveiled more details regarding the series voice cast, which will feature Asiahn Bryant, Camden Coley, Danielle Brooks, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Tiffany Haddish, and Dascha Polanco. Also joining the Karma’s World crew are Jordan Fisher, Dawnn Lewis, Isaia Kohn, Aria Capria, Kaila Mullady, and Ramone Hamilton.

And Netflix was not the only one rhyming about Karma today, we are delighted to share that Universal Music Group has announced that they will be releasing the Karma’s World Original Soundtrack on October 15, 2021. The album will serve as the official companion to the animated series and features original music performed on the show by Asiahn as well as Chris Bridges—in the role of “Dad.” It also includes contributions from castmates Ramone Hamilton (Crash), Aria Capria (Switch), Kaila Mullady (Switch – beatboxing) and Camden Coley (Keys).

Karma’s World tells “The story of a girl finding her voice and using it to change the world.” The music reflects this spirit of empowerment with its upbeat energy and undeniable charm. You can download the first track Welcome to Karma’s World across a variety of DSPs including Tidal, Spotify, and Apple Music!
