We’re delighted to announce that Disney Junior has greenlit a second season of the hit series, Vampirina, from Brown Bag Films!
Vampirina, inspired by Disney Publishing's popular children’s book series “Vampirina Ballerina” by author Anne Marie Pace and illustrator LeUyen Pham, tells the story of a young vampire girl who becomes the new kid in town when her family moves from Transylvania to Pennsylvania.
The show stars the voice talents of TV legends such as Dawson's Creek star James Van Der Beek and Gilmore Girls actress Lauren Graham who play Vampirina's parents Boris and Oxana Hauntley with Isabella Crovetti (Colony) voicing the titular character.
The series has become a fast favourite, ranking number one with audiences aged 4+ in its first six weeks on Disney Junior UK from October last year.
Vampirina currently airs in 115 countries and 15 languages worldwide and has more than 49 million viewers.
Joe D'Ambrosia, Senior Vice President, Original Programming at Disney Junior, announced Vampirina's second season order, saying:
“Vampirina's relatable experience of a young girl trying to adapt and blend in with her new schoolmates, while also celebrating her own uniqueness, has resonated with our audience of young kids and families.
“We look forward to sharing more stories about the loveable young Vee, her new friends and her fantastical world of dancing gargoyles, playful ghosts and cuddly werewolves.”
We can't wait to start work on season two, it's going to be FANG-tastic!
