The Bee Gees #FanArt

This week's #FanArt comes from our Manchester-based Background Artist James Chapman and was done in connection with a charity he helps out from time to time Forever Manchester!

James: This one is from an art show I did with the wonderful charity Forever Manchester, that does a lot of great work in the community over here.

I wanted to illustrate a load of Manchester's favourite celebrities from past and present, hanging out at today's main attractions around the city. Sir Ian McKellen at some hipster bar, Morrissey getting some books from the library, that kind of thing.

From Emmeline Pankhurst to Brian Cox, there was no shortage of Mancunians to dedicate these too, and it was a really fun project to work on.

I was working freelance at the time and it got me out and about sketching locations, which was a lovely break away from my Photoshop cave. The whole set is up on my website, and to support the charity, prints are available from the Forever Manchester shop.
