This week's #FanArt comes from our Dublin-based Lead Texture Artist Barry O'Donoghue and was inspired by the Coen brothers film 'The Ballad of Buster Scruggs'!
Barry: I loved 'The Ballad of Buster Scruggs', both for the stories and the look. I didn't realise at the time how much of the film was actually CGI.
I usually try to keep a sketchbook on my lap when I'm watching a movie or series, even if it’s just to scribble out shot compositions.
This time, I decided to take some of the sketches I’d done and create a series of digital paintings. These are just studies to help better understand lighting and colour, so I tried to keep them as loose and painterly as possible.
