Today's #Sketch makes us want to take a trip to the beach thanks to our Toronto based Background Painter, Fraeya Pinto! Fraeya shows us that rain or shine in the real world, life can always be blue skies in a painting!

Fraeya: I painted this around September of last year. It had been a pretty rainy and cold summer, and honestly I was just really missing sunshine. I think that's why when I saw a photo of a girl on a beach, I really wanted to paint her!

I was trying to accurately capture the colour and light of the picture, while seeing how much I could simplify and abstract it.

This artwork was actually part of a photo-study I ended up taking a lot of liberties with. I painted this in Photoshop using Jama's brushes.
