It's the eye of the tiger, it's the thrill of the fight…

Last Thursday, December 5th, we rose up to the challenge of a friendly neighbourhood charity boxing match with our Smithfield pals Rothco!

Our goal was to raise funds for CRMF Crumlin and Temple Street Children's Hospital, have a little fun with our Smithfield neighbours and get only a little bit bruised in the process.

We had a great team who trained hard and gave it their all, and we're THRILLED to have raised over €27K so far! A huge thank you to everyone for their generous donations!

“After an absolutely fantastic night where we raised over €27,000 for Crumlin and Temple Street Children’s hospitals, I would like to thank everyone who came together to make this happen, the support from within Brown Bag Films was incredible. A big shout out to those who didn’t make it through injury, but a special thanks to those who got into the ring…It didn’t look easy in there! They put in a fantastic show one and all.

Congratulations and thanks to Rothco who came on board at the drop of a hat and really helped with the organisation. They brought some amazing energy and it was an absolute pleasure to work with them, hopefully see them again next year!

When coming up with the idea for the event, myself and Richie (Champ!) wanted to foster a community feeling within Smithfield and I think we achieved that. With so many businesses on and around the square coming through with sponsorship it created a great buzz and I’m hoping it will encourage people to pop into some of the businesses and restaurants that supported us. Here’s hoping it grows year on year and we can continue to support important charities.”
