Sabrina #FanArt

This week's #FanArt comes to us from our very talented Manchester studio Scene Setup Artist, Catherine Egan! Catherine was inspired by the Netflix incarnation of 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch' - the 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina' - to produce this lovely tribute to the magical Sabrina Spellman, and gave us an inside look at how she created it!

Catherine: One evening at home, I wanted to watch something with a bit of magic and mystery. I put on the ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ and was inspired to draw something from it. I settled on Sabrina’s profile.

Using the app Procreate, I sketched rough outlines of the face, then drew over it on separate layers to refine the details. I repeated this process until I had what you can see.

I found this drawing a little difficult as I kept tweaking it along the way, but it was also fun and therapeutic to do. It made me think more in-depth on how to design her facial structure.

Sabrina - Process Breakdown by Scene Setup Artist, Catherine Egan

Some of my design influences are drawn from Halloween, Disney, Anime and Manga. I try to encompass these themes a little in my sketches from time to time.
