Today's sketch comes from Brown Bag Toronto based Storyboard Revisionist David Fernandez, an inspiring piece intended to create hope during a time of tribulation. 

David:  This is a piece I made for a disaster relief fundraiser, in order to help provide aid to Puerto Rico after it was ravaged by Hurricane Maria.

The piece depicts “La Borinqueña”, created by Edgardo Miranda-Rodriquez. I wanted to portray a sense of strength, and also hope in this piece, as she soars through the air in a powerful pose, reaching toward the sun and a better tomorrow. The birds in this piece are all birds that are native to Puerto Rico, which help solidify the characters strong bond with the island.”
