Fighting Words #IrishTimes

Check out the great Fighting Words supplement in the Irish Times today featuring the writing of children and young adults from the Fighting Words programme!

“Fighting Words is a unique creative environment that puts kids right at the forefront of activities. The centre is all about facilitating kids' abundant creativity, drawing out their imagination and showing them just how accessible and enjoyable writing is. By allowing children to drive the creative process, Fighting Words really inspires their confidence. This all makes for a truly inspirational project, and the energy and enthusiasm it generates should be bottled,” said Brown Bag Films CEO Cathal Gaffney.

Now in it's fifth year, Fighting Words continues to engage and inspire children and teenagers to pursue creative writing and aid them in realising their potential.

Brown Bag Films recently collaborated with Fighting Words to produce the short film: The Battle for Ravenwind: The Right to Radios.

Last year Brown Baggers Sascha Paladino, Craig Kane and Martin Kelly worked with a brilliant, imaginative team of kids who worked as creators, writers, designers, composers, artists, voice actors, critics and more to create the short.

The Battle for Ravenwind is a five minute animation made entirely with the kids through Fighting Words workshops.
