This year's IFI Family Festival is taking place this weekend, from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th August!

The festival is kicking off with opening film, Fox & Hare Save the Forest, and boasts and a slew of great family friendly shorts and features.

We're also excited to be running a very special Brown Bag Films 30th Birthday celebration event on Sunday morning!

This family friendly event will feature a screening of a selection of our short films and animated series, including the Oscar nominated Give Up Yer Aul Sins and Granny O'Grimm's Sleeping Beauty, and recent series releases Dylan's Playtime Adventures, Karma’s World, Lu & The Bally Bunch, and Dee & Friends in Oz, as well as an exciting presentation about the art and craft of animation so families can get a fun peek behind the scenes. Following this, we'll also have some activities in the foyer so youngsters can hone their drawing skills and learn some fun, creative techniques. And a few little surprises for early arrivers!

We've also shared some items from our archives to be displayed as part of the Family Festival Heritage Week Trail, be sure to pop in to get a look at Granny and Mary and a few other tidbits in the animation themed mini-exhibition!
