This week's #FanArt comes from our Manchester-based 2D Designer, George Crosbie, who was inspired by the retro style of the characters in Final Fantasy VII!

George: I recently started playing Final Fantasy VII for the first time, widely considered the best game in the whole series even 20 years after release.

Despite its age, I was instantly taken in by the characters charm and blocky retro look, it spurred me to draw some of the main cast and their iconic weapons keeping that look in mind.

I had to think of ways of simplifying my style of drawing to give the same bold impression of the PS1 models, and I stuck with minimal shading with a strong green glow to replicate the games colour pallet and style.
