230KM in a Day! Equinox Cycle 2019 #Recap

This month saw Brown Baggers dust off their lycra and oil up their chains for the annual Equinox Cycle, travelling 230km from Dublin to Sligo, in aid of Temple Street Children's Hospital and Headway, two local Dublin charities close to our hearts.

This marks the Equinox Cycle's 9th outing and our intrepid cyclists did not let us down!

Ronan O'Neill from our Dublin studio Charity Committee:

This year’s Equinox Cycle was like no other. We had a tailwind all day! It was one of the most enjoyable days on the bike, with a lot of new people tackling a coast-to-coast cycle for their first time, resulting in a great sense of achievement after 8 hours of cycling.

We had a great crew along the way, setting up our stops and making sure we got in, got fed and got going. A big shout out to the Castle Inn at Newtownforbes for hosting us for lunch yet again and to Joe from Christophe's Cafe in Smithfield for providing the lovely food for the day.

Getting some well deserved refreshments after 230km

Ultimately, all 35 of us arrived an hour early having averaged over 29kph for the day. In doing so, we are on target to raise €25,000 and there is still time to get your support in!

A huge thanks to all who helped, took part and raised money in the lead up to, during and after the event. Equinox 9 is now done, and we are close on breaking €200,000 for Temple Street and Headway Ireland.

Until number 10, Safe cycling :)
