We've got some awesome news to share!

We're delighted to be collaborating with Grasshopper Events on creating Character Creation Workshops, suitable for children and young people, for Cruinniú na nÓg! Our Dublin studio artists, Gloria Gambino, Mårten Jönmark and Carmine Pucci, have been busy crafting up some amazing workshops which will be available online for FREE all day on Saturday, June 12th on the Cruinniú na nÓg website.

There will be three online workshops available for different ages:

Doodimals! with Gloria Gambino for ages 5-8 years

Do you like to doodle? Do you love animals? 2D Design Supervisor Gloria Gambino will show children how to draw a variety of adorable creatures and how to give them their own story through adding details.

You will need paper, a pencil & colouring materials (markers, pencils or crayons).

Animal Mix-Up with Mårten Jönmark for ages 9-12 years

Discover how to create quirky characters in Animal Mix-Up, a drawing and visual storytelling workshop. Emmy Award-winning Episodic Director Mårten Jönmark will demonstrate how to create quirky characters inspired by different animals.

You will need paper, a pencil & colouring materials (markers, pencils or crayons).

Line of Action with Carmine Pucci for ages 13+

Action-packed workshop for teens, Assistant Art Director Carmine Pucci will show how to create movement when drawing characters. Starting with a simple line, Carmine will demonstrate how to give characters motion, actions and gestures.

You will need paper, a pencil & colouring materials (markers, pencils or crayons).

You will be able to view the online workshops through the Dublin City Arts Office Vimeo on June 12th.
