The 2022 TAAFI Toronto Animation Film Festival is HERE and it's bursting with fantastic animation and top-notch talent!
This year’s festival event will feature three cartoony-packed days celebrating over 100 animated films and their creators. Audiences are invited to feast on weird, beautiful and awe-inspiring cartoons from around the world, all from the comfort of your couch. That’s right, the entire festival is happening ONLINE via the internet, from March 24th – 26th. And in the words of TAAFI organizers, that’s “so many cartoons and so little deodorant.”
Along with all the AMAZING animation, Brown Bag Films is doing a special “Studio Session” featuring our very own Adrian Hansen, Head of Animation, Natasha Sasic, Head of Art & Design and Darryl Permejo, Technical Director Rigging. In this exclusive virtual round table discussion, our team will be discussing all the incredible current projects happening in our Toronto studio. Attendees will also get to participate in a Q&A at the end of the presentation!
The 90 min event is on Friday, March 25th, 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm. For the full Studio Session details click here!
We also have some of our Brown Bag Films crew taking part in the festival's Open Portfolio Review via Discord on Thursday, March 24th, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. This review session includes three different streams of focus: 2D Animation / VFX, 3D Design & Animation, or Boarding & Design. Brown Bag's Daryl Permejo (Technical Director Rigging), Amanda Shotton (3D Modeler), and Meg Simmons (BG Paint Supervisor) will be on hand to review your portfolio and provide you with valuable feedback and insights on your work. Learn more about how to participate here!
