Celebrate Earth Day 2022!

Today, April 22nd, marks Earth Day and this year's theme is “Invest In Our Planet”. Our 'Green Bag' Committee, which was formed in 2014 with the goal of making a greener workspace, invited our teams to share some environmentally friendly activities they would be partaking in today to help us all inspire each other.

Take a look at some of the activities our staff have shared with us in celebration of Earth Day!

To further spread the joy of going greener, we've got some useful kid-friendly lessons from our shows to help get your little ones started on their green journey! From tips on recycling to crafting to discovering the beauty of nature, there's something to inspire the passion for investing in our planet, today and every day.

Help your little ones learn about recycling! “Recycling is something you can do, it makes old things something new.”

Try this Daniel Tiger inspired Earth Day activity via PBS Kids: Grow sprouts from dried beans!

With this activity, children can see day by day that living things grow — but it takes time and we have to wait! Usually things grow so slowly we can’t see them growing – like ourselves but with this activity we can see how something grows each day. As Mister Rogers sang “You’re bigger than you were a day ago.”

Be inspired to get hands-on with a neighbourhood clean up like Karma and her friends in Karma's World! No high-tech inventions neccessary when you've got excellent team work!

We learn the process of sorting recyclable materials with Peg + Cat: Paper, Plastic, Metal!
