“Beyond the Fence is the first ever narrative experience specifically designed for multi-user consumption using Facebook’s social VR platform “Facebook Spaces”.

It is structured similarly to a picture book where each page would become an animated vignette that people can be immersed in and enjoy at their own pace.

I created Beyond the Fence entirely in VR using Quill, a VR painting and animation tool developed by Facebook.

All animations were done frame by frame and the light you see was painted as well.

This is also the first project where what you see on screen is 100% my own vision, where the visuals came directly out of my mind through my hand onto the VR canvas with nothing inbetween.
