We've got some AMAZING news!

The 2021 Irish Animation Award nominations are in and we've received a whopping total of 8 nominations!

First up, our animated special Angela's Christmas Wish, written and directed by Damien O'Connor, scooped up two nominations in the Best Sound Design and Best Irish Feature or Special categories.

In the Best Writer for Preschool Animation category, Vampirina writers Chelsea Beyl, Mia Resella, and Jeffrey King, received a shared nomination for the episode 'Vampire Chaperone' as did Doc McStuffins writers Randi Barnes, Chris Nee, and Michael Stern for the episode 'Bedazzled'.

Chico Bon Bon: Monkey With a Tool Belt has been nominated in 3 categories! Receiving nominations in Best Animated Kids Series 6+, and Best Art Direction and Design for the episode ''Gigantic Glue Ball'  and Best Editing for the episode 'Runaway Robot'!

Vampirina also scooped a second nomination in the Best Editing category for the episodes 'Bora and the Banshee/A tale of Two Hollows'

A huge congratulations to our nominated productions and big shout outs to all the 2021 Irish Animation Awards nominees.

The biennial awards ceremony will take place virtually for the first time on Friday 21st May and will once again highlight the brilliance and talent of the Irish animation sector.
