Beatrix Potter’s classic character, Peter Rabbit, returns to the screen in a brand new 3d animation series for Nickelodeon and the BBC.

Peter and his best friends, Benjamin Bunny and Lily Bobtail, are introduced to a new generation of children in 52 brand new stories and two specials which also feature Beatrix Potter’s other classic characters, including Jemima Puddleduck and Mrs Tiggywinkle.

'Peter Rabbit', developed by Silvergate Media and Penguin Books, premiered with a 22 minute Christmas special episode, "Peter Rabbit's Christmas Tale", in December 2012 on Nick Jr and CBeebies, which drew three million viewers and ranked as the No1 program with K2-5 and K2-11 across all TV in its time period.

The series launched on Nick Jr on February 18th 2013, and hopped to the top of the charts delivering 1.7 million viewers. The premiere also ranks as Nick's highest-rated preschool series premiere since 2011.

The greenlighting of the second season was announced on October 2013. 

Peter Rabbit was awarded 3 Emmy Awards on May 1st 2014, with a further 5 Daytime Emmy Award nominations in the Daytime Emmy awards which were held on June 22nd 2014. In 2015, Peter Rabbit received another Emmy Award with a further 2 Daytime Emmy Award nominations. 2016 saw Peter Rabbit add a fifth Emmy Award win to its tally, with an additional 2 nominations. 2017 has seen Peter Rabbit nominated for a further 3 Emmy Award nominations.
