Today's #sketch is a watercolour test of trees by 2d Designer Derek Horan!

Derek: This was created using watercolours and took around 30 to 40 minutes using a sennelier pan… messy, but fun! I enjoy the easy way the paints work with water, ideal for colour mixing, and using synthetic #14 and #8 round brushes.

My big tip would be: “Don’t let your brush sit tip down in a water container for too long a time!” If left soaking too long the bend gets set and hairs on your brush start to look like they're having a bad hair day.
