September is here and we’ve all seen the foreboding signs of Fall sweeping in, but before we let go of summer entirely, let’s revisit the warm and wonderful work submitted to the August Edition of our Toronto Art Jam.

August’s theme was Relax—artists were asked to take a moment to meditate and chill, then grab some drawing supplies and make something cool.

So now we are asking you to take a moment to pause and remember those lazy days of summer, with a little help from the beautiful work submitted last month:

Our 1st Place Winner was Layout Supervisor David Pietila, with his piece “Relax……. Comix!”

To me there is something relaxing being surrounded by old books, and even better comics. It reminds me of hanging out at my grandparents Saturday evenings reading comics and drawing.

Our 1st runner up was Relax by Animation Supervisor Jonathan Coit.

And 2nd runner up was Cal Doodle by 3D FX Artist Justine Howard.
