It was a month of magical mermaids. July brought the heat and so did our Toronto animators in this month's mermaid themed Art Jam!

This month's winning submission was voted on by our Toronto studio and was awarded to….

'Merman in recline' by Ken Ng and the Xavier BG Paint Team

Ken: I'm not sure there's much more to describing the process other than a quick google image search and then photoshopping Cory's head onto said image, adjusting for skin tone, size scale and image grain/blurriness. Not the most exciting of processes. Sometimes google image search results do all the work for me.

First runner up went to 'Call of the Sirens' by Justin Salgado. Second runner up was awarded to 'Mermaid' by Youjia Da and third runner up to 'Dinner' by Rachel Joseph.
