Rosie’s Rules Nominated for the 51st Annie Awards

ROSIE'S RULES WRITING TEAM BAGS AWARD NOD FOR THEIR WORK ON THE EPISODE 'TIME TROUBLE' FROM SEASON 1 OF THE SERIES.

We have some AMAZING news to share! We’re thrilled to announce that Rosie's Rules Head Writer Jennifer Hamburg, Story Editor Maria Escobedo, and Writer Leyani Diaz have received an Annie Awards nomination for 'Best Writing - TV/Media' for their fantastic work the episode 'Time Trouble' from season 1 of the hit series Rosie's Rules.

Since 1972, hosted by the International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood, the annual Annie Awards ceremony honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the art of animation. Originally designed to celebrate the lifetime achievements of legendary veterans of the field, the Annie Awards now recognizes the year’s best animated productions and outstanding individual achievements in the field of animation. The Annie Awards are regarded as animation’s highest honor.

Rosie's Rules was one of five exceptional series included in the Writing category for TV/Media, at this year's awards. Also receiving recognition at ASIFA-Hollywood's prestigious event alongside the Rosie's writing team are Amber Noizumi, for their work on the episode 'The Tale of the Ronin and the Bride' from the seires Blue Eye Samurai (A Netflix Series / 3 Arts Entertainment and Blue Spirit Productions), Tsvetelina Zdraveva and Jerred North for 'Yellowbird' from Only You: An Animated Shorts Collection (Afterman production in association with Max/Warner Bros. Discovery), Josh Lehrman, Kyle Stegina, Aram Spencer Porter, Julia Prescott, and Mike Trapp, the writing team behind the episode 'Birthday Police' from the show Rock, Paper, Scissors (Nickelodeon Animation Studios), and Sean Buckelew for their work on the episode 'The Reunion' from the series Scavengers Reign (Max in association with Titmouse Animation and Green Street).

Rosie’s Rules is a series that follows the many adventures of Rosie Fuentes, a hilarious and curious 5-year-old Mexican-American girl who is figuring out how the world around her works. The show focuses on her multicultural blended family who support Rosie as she learns new things and shares the “rules” about life she’s discovering along the way.

The series is produced by 9 Story Media Group and beautifully animated by our Brown Bag Films Toronto studio. It was created by Emmy® Award-winning writer and author Jennifer Hamburg (Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go!, Santiago of the Seas), with Maria Escobedo (Grey’s Anatomy, Elena of Avalor, Ninas World) acting as Story Editor.

We are sending out a 'supertastical' congratulations to the Rosie's Rules writers on their Annie Awards nomination for Best Writing - TV/Media, a huge congratulations to all of this year's nominees and thank you to the Annie Awards.
