Our multi-talented, musically skilled Post-production crew hosted a live music gig to help raise funds for Focus Ireland this month!

Senior Online Editor Emmet O'Neill (of ampersand) along with Editor Maeve Garvan (of dTonnta) and friend Darragh McCabe (Jon Dots) formed a terrific line-up for the MADE event which took place on September 8th in the Thomas House.

“We wanted to put on an event where we could showcase our music together - a fun collaboration! We set a date, looked for a venue that could accommodate live music from an acoustic set to a DJ set. We set up a facebook page for the event. It was free admission but we arranged a collection on the night for Focus Ireland. We had previously run this in April and raised €150 for Focus Ireland. We decided to do it again this month and we raised over €200 on the night, which Brown Bag's Charity Committee has matched!” - Maeve Garvan

Focus Ireland helps prevent families, young people and individuals from having to first experience homelessness if possible. For those currently experiencing homelessness, they identify the best available supports and options to aid them on their journey out of homelessness. Another key aspect of their work is supporting those at risk of homelessness again in the future, to minimise the risk, by providing excellent tenancy supports. See how you can help here!
