The 43rd Annual Gracie Awards were announced yesterday, and Nella The Princess Knight was named this year's Best Family Series.

“The Gracie Awards recognize exemplary programming created by women, for women and about women in all facets of media and entertainment. They also acknowledge the individuals who have made inspirational contributions to the industry.”

Created by Christine Ricci (curriculum advisor, Blaze and the Monster Machines, Dora the Explorer), the series follows the adventures of the bold and fearless Nella, an 8-year-old princess who loves dancing at extravagant balls just as much as she likes meeting fire-breathing dragons; and who transcends traditional roles and expectations through her ability to transform into Nella the Princess Knight!

We are absolutely thrilled to see Nella honoured with such an important award that recognizes outstanding programing created by women for women.

And a “royally” awesome congratulations goes out to our entire Nella team for all their hard work on this fantastic show.

This year's winners will be honoured at the 2018 Gracie Awards Gala, which takes place May 22, 2018, at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Click here to see the full list of this year’s winners.
