For today's #sketch, 2D Designer Gloria Gambino has witches on the brain, thanks to the Halloween season!

Gloria: I created her because I've got witches and magic stuck in my mind (thanks Halloween!). Also, I have a secret love for puffy pants!

I have been trying to improve my character design and line art, but I wasn't coming up with any ideas. I've found that sometimes when I'm in a creative block, I need to find something to draw, and so I always try to sketch something I'm comfortable with. I start thinking of what makes me feel cozy and comfortable, and do some quick sketching.

In this particular one, I was thinking about full moons at night, tea and mugs, and big, old books! After searching for reference against some keywords, and reflecting in my mind on the feelings and emotions linked to them, I found it was easier to draw!
