Here's what they had to say about their experience:

“What a weekend but if truth be told, nerve-wracking, standing in front of an audience of 1200 and having to deliver a speech. Luckily I got this out without the stage fright and then was able to savour the moment and the subsequent after party. The party the previous night was pure Hollywood and a real taste of how the other half live!” said Eddie Gribbin.

“I draw for a living, focusing on imaginary characters. It’s a great job, but low key. This event was all glitz and glamour. Pretty much the very opposite of what I’m used to. Understandably the focus for the trip became delivering the speech. Lots of nerves on the night. The speech was over in a blur. But it was fine. In fact it was great!” said Mårten Jönmark.

“It was an incredible experience going to L.A. for the Daytime Emmy’s, though having had over a month for the nervousness to build up to epic proportions, the 10 minutes waiting off-stage to be announced were pretty grim and joyless! But it was great to get up there, gaze into the blinding lights and give credit to the amazingly talented team who worked with dedication to create something that looks fantastic, even if my mouth was not functioning quite correctly,” said Stephen Robinson.

“My personal terror caused me to leave out crucial names and that’s my only real regret. Luckily there was no helpless blubbering, though I did get a bit of a lump in the throat when they showed a quick preview of all the nominated shows - our clip was a tracking shot of the three rabbits running across the meadow…oh, there’s that lump again!”

“A number of us took the bus (2 dollars) on Saturday to Santa Monica and spent the day chilling out and unwinding and finding the food great and the people friendly. The hotel was a blast and has featured in many movies (True Lies) and guess what?! Soccer has finally established itself in the US with lots of interest in the World Cup. Getting home wasn’t fun, but who cares? It was a great weekend and thanks Brown Bag Films for the wonderful opportunity,” said Eddie Gribbin.

“The whole trip was great. I met some really lovely people, from soap stars to animation heroes. Made new friends. Saw some of the most iconic places in Los Angeles. Had the most amazing breakfasts with my fellow Brown Baggers. All in all a perfect trip topped off by a spectacular award,” said Mårten Jönmark.

Oh… AND look who we spotted in the airport!

None other than legendary musician Paul Weller himself. As you do.
