The National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) have announced the winners of the 2014 NAMIC Vision Awards - and DOC McSTUFFINS WON BEST ANIMATION!

The NAMIC awards, celebrating their twentieth year, recognise achievements in multiethnic and cross-cultural television programming.

It's amazing to see how powerful our medium is. We know that if you can't see it, you can't be it.

Now a whole new generation of kids can see themselves in a whole new way.  I hope that someday soon there will be a new generation of doctors of color who were inspired by the decisions we made on Doc McStuffins.

- Chris Nee, Creator Doc McStuffins

Judged by a 'distinguished panel of entertainment industry executives', the winners are chosen for overall imagery (creative merit, originality, and presentation quality), sensitivity (the consideration given to cultural nuances), writing (the depiction of issues relevant to people of color) and the quality of acting in the performance categories.

We're celebrating the only way we know how - with more DOC!
