Icing, lots of sprinkles, and a big helping of hope for people affected by dementia - Cupcake Day 2017, organised through the Alzheimers Society in association with Woman & Home, took place yesterday, June 15th.
Our Manchester studio took part by hosting their own onsite event. Staff baked, bought and ate all in the effort of raising funds for a great cause!
Dementia is the number one cause of death in England and Wales. All money raised on the day will help to create a better world for people affected by dementia today, but also towards finding a cure for tomorrow.
In true bake off style, there had to be a star baker - Background Artist Estelle Lefebvre took the title with her stunning tarts, and claimed herself a star baker apron!
The giant cupcake was baked and donated for our inhouse raffle by Manchester Studio Assistant Rachael Rothwell and was won by lead Background Artist Giedre Kaveckaite and Animator Freddie Elsom in our Cupcake Day raffle!
We're delighted to have raised over £350 while also engaging in one of our favourite activities...eating cake!
Big thanks to everyone who took part!
