The symposium, which is presented by MoLI in partnership with CBI, will be broadcast live from MoLI, and will feature interviews and panel discussions with a range of children's picturebook illustrators and writers – such as Chris Haughton, Daishu Ma & Jon Klassen – as well as industry professionals and academics including our very own Oscar-nominated Director Nicky Phelan.
Nicky will be taking part in the 'Playing with the Page: Picturebooks and Animation' panel where he will be discussing adapting children's books for animation.
Nicky is based in our Dublin studio and has worked across numerous Brown Bag shows which have been adapted from book to screen, including Octonauts which was based on the books by Meomi, Bing which was based on the books by Ted Dewan, and Vampirina which was based on the books written by Anne-Marie Pace and illustrated by LeUyen Pham.
