Niamh, Ireland's current children's laureate (Laureate na nÓg), is almost at the end of her tenure as laureate, having held the position for two years. Details of the new laureate will be announced next week and you can find more info on the Laureate na nÓg website.

A major exhibition of work from Irish illustrators featuring Niamh Sharkey's artwork is running at the IllustrationCupboard in London until 10th May 2014.
