Bowie #Sketch

Today's #sketch by Background Artist Kirsten Shiel is a little tribute to the dearly departed Starman, David Bowie, marking the first year of his passing today.

Kirsten: I recently watched the BBC documentary David Bowie: Last Five Years, where there was a performance of Five Years from the Dinah Shore Show in 1976. I took a few screenshots of when Bowie was singing, I thought it would make an amazing painting. Inspired by this, I worked on this digital painting today, through all my breaks, taking approx. 1.5 hours to create this piece in Photoshop using Kyle Webster's gouache brushes. I'm a huge, huge fan of Bowie's and could think of little else today!
