Bing Nominated for Animation Awards in ANIMAFILM & SDIKFF Festivals!

Great news folks! Brown Bag's Emmy® Award-winning, pre-school series co-produced with Acamar Films, Bing has been recognized for excellence once again!

This time, we're thrilled to announce that Bing has been nominated for Best Animated TV or Web Series at the International Animation Festival (ANIMAFILM Festival) and the 'Nicky' episode has been nominated in the Short Film category at the San Diego International Kids' Film Festival (SDIKFF).

Based on the massively popular book series “Bing” by author and illustrator Ted Dewan, the series celebrates the noisy, joyful, messy reality of life when you’re a pre-schooler. Bing stories are small but full of drama; everyday micro-dramas that all young children and the grown-ups in their lives will recognize. Bing is 3 years old and like all 3-year-olds is energetic, playful & engaged with the world around him. As he encounters new experiences a combination of enthusiasm and inexperience can sometimes lead to disappointment.

In the 'Nicky' episode, Sula's cousin Nicky is visiting, something Bing is a little unsure about. Sula and Bing start making 'rippy pictures', and while Sula is looking for some purple paper Bing shows Nicky how to voosh the blue speedy car down the slide. However, Nicky vooshes too, falling and breaking his glasses! Sula is furious and Bing is forlorn. Amma soothes Bing while Nicky shows him that he can click his glasses back together again.

And to catch the awards as they unfold, the San Diego International Kids' Film Festival will be held from August 27-29 while the International Animation Festival will take place from September 3-7.
