In the fall of last year, our Creative Council set out on a mission to produce a 2020 Studio Calendar to showcase some of the incredible talent from our Toronto team with the added bonus of also raising some funds for a great cause.

We are thrilled to share that the project was HUGE success! 

The final result is a beautifully designed calendar, featuring 12 original pieces created by our very own Brown Bag artists! And, we raised almost $1000 from in-studio calendar sales that will be donated to the Toronto based ArtHeart Community Art Centre, which provides participants with a supportive environment where they can create and learn, build self-esteem and develop life skills.

But wait there’s more! 

Thanks to storyboard revisionist, Tom Cho, the fun doesn't stop at the featured monthly images! Tom designed a whole year’s worth of bespoke illustrations to mark all key holidays and events, adding another unique dimension to our calendar pages.

We also can’t forget to take a closer look at our calendar’s stunning cover design! The initial concept for the front cover was designed by director Logan McNeil, and then passed on to our VP of Creative Services Gord Garwood, who added his own spin to the idea, creating a smart and sneaky look that teased out some of the amazing work hiding inside!

Final note, since this was our first kick at the can creating an art calendar, calendar sales were limited to our Brown Bag staff only. Next year though, well that’s another story!
