Into sound design for animation? Here's a #toptip from the studio via our Audio Assistant Kieran Sheridan.

Here's a tip for people interested in sound design for movies and animations, check out the Soundworks Collection, a terrific resource with tonnes of “The Sound Of's” for recent and popular movies including Jurassic World and Pixar's Inside Out.

If you're looking to work in sound, I recommend you ask for as much experience work as you can and a big must is experimenting with as much sound/recording/manipulating sound as you can! When people see your enthusiasm they generally help you out.

Also, try to dip your toes in all areas of sound design whether location sound on set, post production, foley studios, recording studios, or sound for animation, it all helps to really give you a rounded understanding of sound design and a comprehensive skill set.
