The shortlist for this year's Technology Excellence Awards are in and we're delighted to be amongst the nominees!

The national Tech Excellence Awards are Ireland’s principal badge of honour in the IT industry.

Now in its 15th year, this Awards programme recognises excellence not only in implementing tech solutions, but also in the business of marketing and implementing technology for business.

Nominated in the SME Project of the Year category on our Gemini Technology collaboration, we are up against e-MIT/Katawave, Phonovation/InteractSMS, Novosco/TTM Healthcare, Envisage Cloud/Junction 14 Mayfield and Intellicom/GloHealth!

The solution comprised of decommissioning our internal storage from a non-scalable and aging solution that was severely limiting the ability of the business, to an enterprise level SAN HP EVA with system which can scale to petabytes. We were able to directly attach storage to the network users through redundant HP Storeasy NAS heads. The project also enabled Brown Bag Films to consolidate many physical aging servers through virtualization on to a HP blade infrastructure of G7 and G8 Blade modules which has provided the business with an agile server infrastructure and increased CPU render farm capability.

The awards will take place Thursday, May 14th in the Ballsbridge Hotel in Dublin.
