Killer Croc #Sketch

Another work-in-progress look at the Killer Croc sculpt I have been working on.

He has changed a bit since the last update, been working on his teeth and scales a lot. Trying out different techniques for scales, as you can see there are differences between his chest and face in terms of the size and shape of them.

I’ve been looking at real crocodiles as references, mainly the smaller American Croc. It’s interesting that around their head the scales are quite fused together, forming larger shapes, due to the lack of need for movement on the skin, whereas on the neck they are segmented so that they can move around. In designing a hybrid of a man and a croc I am trying to decide where it would be logical for these scales to be placed.

Stay tuned for more updates!!
