Equinox Charity Cycle 2014 Raises 18K!

They DID it!

Last Saturday September 27th, saw the 50 cyclists for the Equinox Charity Cycle complete the epic trek from Clontarf in Dublin to Youghal in Cork - an incredible 240km!

They left the balmy Clontarf coast at dawn and reached Youghal, eight and a half hours later, where they dipped their bike wheels into the Celtic Sea.

Event organiser Ronan O’Neill said:

“The atmosphere and camaraderie among the group was great.  It was the toughest, (earliest) and fastest equinox cycle to date and required patience and help to get everybody across the line together and we all played a part in that.  Everybody had their good stages and bad stages but to start and finish together after 235km and 8.5 hours of undulating road is a credit to the spirit of the group.  Well done to one and all again!”

Well done to everyone involved and HUGE thanks to everyone who donated!

The Equinox Charity Cycle has raised approx. 18K this year, and we're hoping to make it to the 20K mark!

All funds raised go to Temple Street Children's University Hospital and Headway Ireland, so please donate if you can!
