Cathal Gaffney Receives Honorary Fellow Award from IADT





Brown Bag Films CEO, Cathal Gaffney, received an IADT Honorary Fellow Award at yesterdays 2014 Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology's (IADT) Conferring Ceremony, along with Morgan O'Sullivan (Producer) and Marian Keyes (Author).

The Conferring Ceremony took place yesterday, Wednesday November 19th, in the RDS, Ballsbridge and marks the first introduction of the IADT Honorary Fellow award.

President of IADT, Dr Annie Doona said

“We are delighted to introduce the Honorary Fellows Award this year. It is a mark of distinction that IADT can award in recognition of outstanding achievement in scholarship or practice, contributions to industry or public service related to the mission and vision of IADT, or to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the development of IADT. The Honorary Fellows are an inspiration to our students and graduates.”

Cathal Gaffney accepted an Honorary Fellow Award at the Conferring Ceremony for his contributions to the film, television and animation industry. As a Director his short film ‘Give Up Yer Aul Sins’ was nominated for an Academy Award® and he has received many nominations and awards since, including a Daytime Emmy nomination as Executive Producer for Peter Rabbit.
