The 2016 Parents' Choice Award Winners for Television have been announced and we're delighted to see both Peter Rabbit and Octonauts make the cut!

Peter Rabbit has received the Parents' Choice Gold Award and Octonauts has received the Parents' Choice Recommended Seal!

This marks the third consecutive year for a gold for Peter Rabbit and the second consecutive year for the Recommended Seal for Octonauts!

The Parent's Choice Awards are designed to help parents and caregivers of all achievements and backgrounds make informed decisions about which new products are right for their children, the Parents' Choice Awards is the nation's oldest nonprofit program created to recognize quality children's media. The Parents' Choice Awards program honors the best material for children: books, toys, music and storytelling, magazines, software, videogames, television and websites. Parents' Choice Foundation's panels of educators, scientists, performing artists, librarians, parents and, yes, kids themselves, identify the very best products for children of different ages and backgrounds, and of varied skill and interest levels.

The Parents' Choice Gold Awards are given to those books, toys, games, videos, software, magazines, audio recordings, and television programs that are judged as the highest quality, most appealing products in their genre. Criteria for judgments include the highest production standards, universal human values and a unique, individual quality that pushes the product a notch above others.

The Parents' Choice Recommended Seal indicates that the Parents' Choice committees found the product distinguished enough to give it a notch above their “Approval” rating. In other words, this commendation implies their approval and, even beyond that, their thorough recommendation for reasons of production, appeal and fulfillment of its clear intent.
